November 11 is a day to take extra time to think of and thank our nation’s veterans. Here at GEO, we are lucky to work alongside two veterans.

Betty Watts, Global Initiatives coordinator, served in the Army for two and a half years as a Russian linguist. During her service, Betty was a voice interceptor and would listen to radio transmissions. She was stationed in California and North Carolina.

Randy Penson, assistant director for Global Safety and Risk Management, served in the Air Force for 24 years. He began his military career in 1979 and throughout worked various areas including intelligence, human resources, admissions, and training. While serving, Randy traveled to many places including Italy, Germany, Japan, and Kosovo. He was commissioned from Angelo State University and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2009.

Thank you to Betty and Randy, and all the veterans for your service!
